Hammered, not cast
Our smith forges every hook at the anvil, the way door hardware was made in old Amman houses. The small marks of the hammer stay on the steel, so each hook is slightly different.
Mild steel, forged by hand and finished with black wax (or clear lacquer). Indoors it needs no care; wipe it with a dry cloth. For a bathroom or an entrance open to the weather, choose the lacquer finish.
Each hook is about 4 × 9 × 12 cm. Sets of 2, 3 or 5, in black wax, raw steel or clear lacquer. We can forge the hooks on a steel or oak rail to the length you need.
Pieces made to order take about 2 weeks from the day you approve the sketch; ready-to-order pieces are made in the next free slot in the workshop. We deliver anywhere in Jordan for a flat 3 JOD and carry large pieces into the room for you. We send photos while we work, and a message the day before delivery.
